How Do I Use The Setting 'Single Line Input Properties'?

For those agencies who are using the issue submission feature 'Uploaded properties only' (see guide here), we have added the ability to require a certain amount of characters before the property address will populate, as well as limit the number of results shown when searching for an address.


This setting is called Single line input properties, and can be found via Setup > Settings:

Highlighted above you can see there are 2 settings: 

  • Minimum input characters
  • Maximum data items

By default, these settings will be empty.


Minimum input characters

This setting is where you would input the minimum number of characters required. For example you may want the client to enter at least 3 characters to ensure the reporter enters the first part of their postcode:

Maximum data items

This setting refers to the number of results you would like to appear when the reporter enters their details. In the example below, I have restricted the results to 2:




Please note that changing these settings, whilst limiting portfolio visibility, might make it harder for reporters to find their address. We recommend you test the address search once you have amended these settings to ensure you are happy with the result.
