As an agent, there may be times where you may need to reassign a contractor you have allocated to service events. This may be because you would want to archive the contractor as you no longer work with them or it could possibly be because they no longer do works within a specific area.

If you have a contractor attached to several pending issues which you wish to change, you have the ability to remove them and change the contractor to a different one.

To do this you will simply need to go to Planned maintenance > Service Events. Once there you will need to search for the contractor or the property you wish to change the service events for. To do this click on the dropdown beside the magnifying glass:

After this, you will see that there are now filters to search for the contractor or the service event by. Once you've altered the filters hit the search button:

Once you've hit search you will see a list of the works the contractor has completed, would need to complete and works that are due in the future.

To begin reassigning the service events you will need to click on the options button and select 'bulk reassign contractor'. This will then allow you to tick the service events you wish to be reassigned:

After selecting the service events you wish to update you will need to then select 'Bulk assign contractor'.

A pop-up will then appear asking you to select the new contractor you wish to select to replace the previous contractor. Once this is done press save.

Please note, as mentioned above, service events with the pending status will be the only ones updated. Any service events with other statuses will not be updated.

All you have to do after clicking save is wait for the events to be updated and completed.

Once updated the service event and all future pending service events will be re-assigned with the new contractor.

As part of our Contractor Marketplace service, we have partnered with contractor networks that can perform different service events for your agency, helping you stay compliant. Please find more information in this guide.
