Fixflo has partnered up with Checkatrade to introduce a new feature that allows agent to request quotes from contractors on the Checkatrade platform, directly within an issue on Fixflo!

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Who are Checkatrade?

Checkatrade is a UK-based online platform that helps homeowners find reputable and vetted tradespeople for home repairs and improvements. It acts as a marketplace where tradespeople can create profiles, and homeowners can search for services like plumbing, electrical work, or roofing, and check a contractor's credentials and reviews.

Checkatrade have an extensive vetting system for the contractors on their network. If you would like to learn more about this process, feel free to find out more information here.

How will this feature work?

There will be a banner that appears on reactive issues that are either in the status 'Reported' or 'Request for Quotes Ended', which will ask if you would like to 'Compare Checkatrade Quotes'.

When you click this button, a pop-up will appear explaining that you will receive 3 quotes from Checkatrade vetted contractors. All you will then need to do is provide your phone number and name. This form will then send over your details, as well as the issue address & information to the tradespeople at Checkatrade, and the tradespeople will be in touch shortly via phone or email.

Please note - We highly recommend commenting on the issues you do this for and noting that you have requested quotes via Checkatrade, as we haven't yet implemented a feature that allows the issue status to update automatically. Here is one of our guides on Using The Comments Tab to make notes.
