Please note that while this guide is aimed at the Block and BTR/PRS markets, Lettings clients can also use Fixflo for asset management. For the introduction to Fixflo and Assets, please click here.

When managing assets in Fixflo, it's imperative that you set up planned works to ensure that the relevant asset is inspected/fixed on a regular cyclic basic. This is simple to do within Fixflo's planned maintenance module (please note, Fixflo Professional users only), providing you with the assurance that you're doing your best to maintain the health of each asset.

The rest of this guide is written assuming that the reader is aware of how to use the Planned Maintenance module within Fixflo. If you do not know how to use this feature, please first of all watch our videos here.

To configure planned maintenance against an asset in Fixflo, click via 'Planned maintenance' and into the relevant building/property profile the asset is registered at. Here on the 'Works planned' tab, select 'Add events':

When creating the event series itself, ensure that you select the relevant asset from the list available - these will pull in from the building/property in question:

From here, this is treated like a regular service event, with the system creating the associated issue at the relevant time. When works are instructed to the contractor, they are provided with the asset name on the instruction email, as well as an 'Asset' tab within the issue itself, where they can view all the asset information as required:

You are able to also view the works planner of a specific asset via its profile as required:

This allows you to accurately track and measure the planned works configured against each asset, so that you can do your best to maintain its health.
