Co-Pilot is your automated work assistant. It allows you to set up filters and actions to automate work. This is particularly helpful for any holiday and bank holidays.
Adding co-pilot rules
To ensure your Co-Pilot rules are running over the August bank holiday, we have created a couple of templated rules that have been specially created for the upcoming bank holiday weekend. To add these to your list of rules simply go to the co -pilot tab and select '+ Add rule'.
This will open a list of templated rules where you can add the relevant rules, which have been titled '25 Aug Bank Holiday'.
If you have chosen to add the templated rules that have been created, ensure to review the fault types selected and untick any fault types you do not want the contractor marketplace provider to cover.
If you do not want to use our templated rules, you can copy the existing Novex or Help me Fix rule on the system using the copy rule icon, this will create a new rule at the bottom of the co-pilot rule list. You will then need to edit this rule and add a period filter with the appopriate dates that cover the bank holiday.
Editing a co-pilot rule
You can edit any rules you have created in Co-Pilot. To do this, click the pencil icon on the rule you wish to edit.
You can then edit any filter or action that already exists by clicking on the pencil icons. You can also add more filters and actions here if you wish.
Period filter
This is perfect for adding certain rules for bank holidays and other holidays. You can easily select the dates during which you would like this rule to be effective.
When adding your filter, please select 'Period':
Please note: Any date in the 'to' field will not be included in the period. This is because the filter will go up to 23:59:59 on the date before, and will stop once it hits the specified 'To' date.
Time Filter
You may wish to use the 'Time' filter and simply select the relevant times you wish the Co-pilot rule to be active for. The example below shows a traditional 'evenings and weekends' time filter.
Emergency filter
If your existing co-pilot rules have the filter 'is emergency' review the templated rules and add this filter if nesscary to ensure all emergency issues are intructed to the out of hours provider. please note this will only need to be added if you have a pre issue creation rule in place!
Re-ordering rules
Once your co-pilot rules are in place, you can easily reorder your list of rules to ensure the specific ones are hit. To do this, drag the rule you want to move and drop it where you want it in the list. Easy as that!
It is important to have the rules you want to be hit first at the top of the list.
Don't forget to save any changes and enable your Co-pilot rules! It is important to review the order of the rules to ensure the correct ones are at the top of the list!
